Certified Tree Worker and Climbing Specialist (CTW)(ISA No. AT 0624T)
The qualifications for the CTW certification include:
A minimum of 18 months climbing experience
Aerial Rescue First Aid and CPR
This is a relatively new certification offered by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), indicating that the holder is qualified and competent in the execution of all technical aspects of arboricultural operations on both the ground and at height. In addition to the technical aspects of pruning, removal and rigging, the CTW is trained in tree biology, tree identification and safety. The applicant must pass a written examination as well as a practical climbing examination.
